Thermography Fund Raiser

We are regularly referring clients for thermograms to help identify possible cancers. The majority of cancers are unable to cool themselves down, resulting in “hot spots” in the body. A thermogram camera is a simple, painless, non-toxic assessment option that can detect these hot spots. All one has to do is stand in front of the camera in a cool room and have their picture taken. Despite mounting evidence that mammograms are adding to the risk or missing the cancer, we still lack this simple non-invasive and radiation-free monitoring option in our area. People are being forced to travel for hours to get a thermogram. We feel very strongly that thermography options need to made available and affordable to our local residents.  Therefore, we are kicking off a fundraiser to purchase thermography equipment and get a technician trained. The equipment is $27,000. 00 and is the type that can be used to look at more than just breast areas, such as hip joints, colon, bladder, etc. Training is several thousand more. However, if we can acquire the down payment of $10,000.00, we could easily get the equipment and a technician up and running in our office.

Any donations over $50.00 will be treated as a pre-payment toward thermograms for you and/or you family.  We will also be acquiring a plaque for the wall outside the Thermography room that will list the donors, or the name of the person anyone wants to honor or list as “in memory of”.

To donate, please stop by the office or give us a call.  (231) 348-1915

More about Thermograms

A thermogram is a non-invasive, radiation-free option for identifying possible cancer, and not just for breast. We’ve sent people for thermograms on lower abdomen, lymph sites, etc.  A thermogram is simply using specialized equipment that detects heat coming off the body.  The majority of cancer cells feed on large amounts of sugar, and therefore cannot cool themselves down and will show up as specific heat types.  All the patient has to do is sit in a cool room and have their picture taken.

I particularly like thermograms for women because they can pick up possible problems under the arms and at the far back of the chest wall, where a mammogram cannot go.

Thermograms are also more affordable than mammograms and CT scans.  If your insurance does not cover it, or you don’t have health insurance, they typically only cost $90.00 to $120.00 depending on how many pictures they need to take.  Making a Thermogram less costly than a mammogram as well!

Healthy breast and surround tissues

This thermogram shows inflammation in the right breast and upper abdomen as well as a some of the lymph nodes in the neck and left armpit.

Breast Thermogram

This thermogram shows calcification in the upper right quadrant of the right breast and fiberous tissues in the lower half of both breasts.

Thermogram of stage 4 breast cancer in left breast with metasties to lymph and bone.

This one shows inflammation in the dog's shoulder joint and hip with arthritis in the knee and low back.

Yet another new set of studies show that mammograms cause cancer

A new study recently presented at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in 2010, concluded that the radiation from annual mammography screening significantly increases breast cancer risk, especially those in women with a genetic or familial predisposition to breast cancer. This is particularly concerning because women who are at high risk for breast cancer are typically pushed to start getting mammograms at a younger age (sometimes as early as 20), which means they are exposed to even more radiation from mammography earlier and for many more years than women who don't have breast cancer in their family trees.

Dr. Marijke C. Jansen-van der Weide an epidemiologist in the Department of Epidemiology and Radiology at University Medical Center Groningen in the Netherlands was one of several physicians that analyzed peer-reviewed, published medical research to investigate whether low-dose radiation exposure affects breast cancer risk among high-risk women. Out of the six studies included in this analysis, four looked at the effect of exposure to low-dose radiation among breast cancer gene mutation carriers. The other two studies traced the impact of radiation on women with a family history of breast cancer. The researchers took the combined data from all these research projects and then calculated odds-ratios to estimate the risk of breast cancer caused by radiation.

"For women at high risk for breast cancer, screening is very important, but a careful approach should be taken when considering mammography for screening young women, particularly under age 30," said Dr. Jansen-van der Weide in a statement to the media. "Further, repeated exposure to low-dose radiation should be avoided."

However, the conclusion drawn by the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) with this information?  Women MUST be more strongly encouraged to be sure to get their annual mammogram so they can detect the cancer as soon as possible, even if it is cancer that may have been caused by those mammograms. Not surprising, since mammograms account for more than 100 billion dollars in medical revenues every year.

So, don’t be fooled!  The research is in from numerous sources, especially European doctors. Mammograms are much like a clever sleight-of-hand, like the amusing uncle who reaches for your ear and suddenly produces a coin that magically appeared there. However, we all know, they put it there themselves! Mammograms are a similar kind of sleight-of-hand trick that actually causes the very disease they are claiming to find “early”.  Unfortunately, there is NOTHING amusing about what this money driven trick is doing to women.

Thermography is the safe alternative!
